Sparrow Ionia Hospital is a 25-bed cirtical access, acute care hospital located in Ionia, MI. The hospital is a state-of-the-art LEED-certified facility built in 2015. Sparrow Ionia is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and is a Patient-Centered Medical Home designated practice by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Sparrow Ionia was awarded the 2017 Governor's Award of Excellence for Outstanding Quality and Patient Safety.

The Sparrow Ionia Hospital emergency department sees 15,000 patients annually and has 12 private treatment rooms. There is currently 24 hours of physician coverage and 10 hours of daily PA/NP coverage. Survival Flight air medical transport services to the main Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.

Sparrow Ionia Hospital is located in a small mid-michigan town located 1 hour from Lansing to the east and 1 hour from Grand Rapids to the west, creating a perfect blend of rural and suburban influences. Ionia, MI has countless nature trails, parks, inland lake access, and other activities. The town is also the home of the world's largest free-admission fair held every summer.
