Richard Henderson MD, FACEP

Medical Director


Dr. Richard Henderson serves as the Director of the Emergency Department at St. Rose Dominican Hospital’s De Lima and Siena Campuses, both located in Henderson, Nevada. He also serves as Director of the Emergency Department at the St. Rose Dominican Hospitals - San Martin Campus located in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has been at St. Rose since 1989. Dr. Henderson has served as Chief of Staff since 2004. He serves as chair of the Clark County Department of Health EMS Medical Advisory Committee and is Medical Director of the Henderson City Fire Department.

Dr. Henderson is an emergency medicine residency trained physician. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah and his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. He performed his Internship and Residency in Emergency Medicine at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio.

Dr. Henderson was awarded the EPMG Medical Director of the Year award in 2000.  He was awarded the Southern Nevada American Heart Association Stroke Champion Award in 2007 and the St. Rose Dominican Hospital "Golden Stethescope" Award in 2008.
