What excites you most about the field of emergency medicine or future of healthcare?
I am excited to be in the middle of a significant transformation in the healthcare industry and feel that emergency medicine will be a critical piece of that change. We will be leaders in providing solutions to healthcare cost challenges this country faces.

This is shared by both my mother and wife, as they both taught me to have an attitude to work hard at all times, to do whatever it takes to get the job done, and that family is most important.
One thing most people don’t know about you.
I love the wilderness and enjoy roughing it in remote areas in order to catch large fish.
Your favorite vacation.
My favorite vacation is going to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with my family and enjoying the beach with no planned agenda.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I spend my time watching my children play travel baseball, volleyball and soccer. I also enjoy fishing and golf.
