The most rewarding experience in your career thus far.
Every time a patient presents to the emergency department and states, “I’m so glad you’re here.” I know it is a patient who has chosen to return to our ED, and I helped contribute to a positive experience during someone’s time of need.
Which EPMG value do you identify with most?
Fairness. It’s a principle that resonates with me. It doesn’t mean that you will get what you want, when you want it, but knowing there is a process that will treat me fairly allows me to perform without anxiety or uncertainty.
What excites you most about the field of emergency medicine or future of healthcare?
The central role we will play in the coordination of healthcare.
Describe yourself in two words.
Fun and hardworking (in that order).
The person with the biggest influence in your life.
My dad. He continues to teach me lessons in life, priority, and balance.
One thing most people don’t know about you.
I read virtually no fictional literature.
Your favorite vacation.
I chartered a sailboat in the British Virgin Islands and spent a week island hopping.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Anything with my kids and family.
