What is EPMG's business philosophy?

EPMG operates under the philosophy that good community relations will exist when the highest quality medical care is provided to each patient. Therefore, our first task is to staff our EDs with highly competent, board-certified physicians. Our physicians are often community leaders and are encouraged to participate in a variety of projects and charities

How will EPMG's management improve the Hospital's bottom line?

As waiting times and throughput times are decreased, as.left-without-being-seens are decreased and as providers seeing increasing numbers of patients per hour coupled with improved documentation, revenue to both EPMG and the hospital will improve. EPMG has demonstrated its ability to improve ED operations and provider productivity and documentation thereby improving revenue for both EPMG and its partner hospitals.

What staffing parameters does EPMG offer?

EPMG used th following outcomes to determine staffing:

  • Care provided to more than 2 patients per hour
  • Optimize Press Ganey Score
  • Less than 30 min door-to -doctor time
  • Less than 2% LWBS

How does EPMG ensure the ongoing education of its providers?

Monthly Staff Meetings- At each meeting, problematic cases with educational benefit are discussed, radiographic discrepancies are covered, and any relevant ED issues are addressed.

Online completion of bi-monthly Cases From the Front Line, based on actual cases, is required.

Attendance at our High Risk Emergency Medicine course, developed by EPMG to be a comprehensive review of relevant high-risk topics in EM, is required.

Our National Emergency Medicine Board Review is the most successful board preparation course in the nation. The Core Curriculum for Emergency Medicine is easily adapted from this course for local education of physicians, residents, medical students and nursing staff.

The reason is focus. Today we operate in a far more competitive environment than even a few years ago and the best companies devote all their energy to what they do best. Emergency Medicine is what we do best.
