History of EPMG

EPMG, founded in 1973, is supported by physician leaders and an executive team with extensive experience and proven skills in organizational management and program development.

For more than 30 years, the group has enjoyed an impressive record of long-term relationships with its client hospitals. Following a controlled growth strategy, EPMG has become one of the largest providers of emergency medicine staffing, management, and consulting services in the Western United States. The group currently staffs and/or manages 24 EDs and urgent centers in California, Nevada and Hawaii providing emergency and urgent care services to over 600,000 patients annually. Fifteen contracts have been in existence for over five years, and eight for over ten years. Several contracts date back more than twenty five years, a reflection of the group's stability and ongoing contribution to its hospitals.

Contracts include twelve teaching hospitals, and three trauma centers. EPMG is the co-founder of the University of Nevada School of Medicine and of the Emergency Medicine Residency at University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
